Aching...

It's hard to believe that I have now been home for almost 5 months now. I thought that the ache would ease as time went on. I was wrong. Each day that passes is a day that puts more distance between me and the precious kids that I have come to love, and I ache for them more than I have ached for anything in my life. But I do hope that each day that passes brings me closer to going back again one day, Lord willing. I do sense all the more that the Lord is calling me to missions. I don't know when, where, or how, but I'm excited to see where He leads me in the coming years.

It's funny. A lot of the things the Lord taught me in Africa, He is now teaching me once again, only in a different context. As much as my heart longs to be in Africa, I know that God has me here for a reason. All over again, He is lovingly teaching me how to trust Him in new ways, love others through His strength, and to live as a missionary right here in Minnesota. It's been so awesome to see how He's opened up opportunities for ministry right here. The Lord is at work here, in Africa, and all over the world. We serve an awesome God.
